This is Texas Ranger he was the first pig we ever brought home along side his sister pumpkin. Texas and Pumpkin were rescued from another farmer who was not caring for their pigs. Texas had a horrible case of scabies. It took a few very itchy months to help fix his condition because of how bad it was. Texas is our least active pig and is often found sleeping. Unless it is food time then Texas is our most active pig and will outrun everyone else to the gate. Texas favorite foods are apples and watermelon. He loves spending time with his sister and is often found lazying about in the pig pool. He loves belly rubs and scratches behind his ears. This is Pumpkin she is Texas Rangers sister. Pumpkin is a KuneKune pig. We rescued Pumpkin and Texas from another farmer who was not caring for their pigs. When we first met Pumpkin we noticed her eye has a very large cyst taking over her entire right eye. We soon found out that she had gotten a foxtail lodged in her eye subsequently the farmer decided to take it out using pliers. This left Pumpkin completely blind in her right eye at just 8 weeks old. Pumpkin also had a horrific case of scabies. The itchiness caused her to have seizures. Thankfully Pumpkin had a full recovery! She is very sweet and loves rubs especially on her face. Pumpkin loves our pig pool and laying in the mud. She loves following us around and acknowledges us by looking up at us often. Her favorite food is blueberries and she will try to climb on you if you have them! This is Kentucky, although often called Tucky. Tucky is a Vietnamese Potbelly pig. He was abandoned and dumped on the street with nowhere to call home. He was found by the county’s animal services department we picked him up from there. Tucky is very playful and loves to explore. He loves digging up new mud pits and lounging in them. He even blows bubbles with his nose in the mud pits! Tucky loves watermelon but when we first got him he did not care about eating any veggie or fruit! He is often very muddy but will drop and roll over immediately if you start rubbing him. He loves those belly rubs! This old gal is Sally. She's our oldest resident of the pig gang. Sally-girl is an 8 year old mini pig. Her owner sadly passed away and her disabled grandmother was taking care of her the best she could. She has never lived with other pigs and only had very small backyard that she lived in. She was being seen and cared for by doctors for arthritis in her back legs. We were told she had limited mobility, but since coming to the sanctuary we see her running up the fields happy as ever as if she never had a hindrance to begin with. She is truly thriving and feeling at home with her pig family.

This is Daisy-Lou this young pig was picked up in the woods abandoned with either dog or coyote wounds. This scared battle-hardened girl Daisy is a fighter. She is very skittish but has been warming up to us and doing phenomenal with the other pigs, with Poppy being her ride or die.

This here is Poppy. She is a 4 month old cute as a button mini pig. This sweet and spunky girl was saved hours away from being euthanized because of some back leg issues. Luckily someone saw our post online and reached out to the owner. She has been thriving as ever running up and down the fields with Daisy-Lou, like two peas in a pod.
