Our Mission

We’re Shawn Parr and Emma Holder, the hearts behind Happy Hog Haven Pig Sanctuary & Rescue a place where lost, broken, and forgotten pigs find love, safety, and a forever home.

Our story began with two little pigs named Pumpkin and Texas. When we brought them home, we had no idea how deeply they would touch our hearts. Through their eyes, we saw innocence, forgiveness, and joy even after hardship. Caring for them opened something inside us, and in that moment, we both felt it: the gentle call of God telling us this was our purpose.

From that day on, our lives changed. What began with two became a mission to rescue, heal, and love pigs who had been neglected, abused, or abandoned. Each one who arrives at Happy Hog Haven carries a story of pain, but also the incredible capacity to trust again. Watching them blossom into their true, happy selves is nothing short of a miracle.

This isn’t just a lifestyle it’s a calling we live out with open hearts and muddy boots. Our sanctuary is built on faith, compassion, and a promise: that every pig who comes to us will know love, peace, and the safety of home for the rest of their days.

Happy Hog Haven is where hope is restored, where prayers are answered in snorts and squeals, and where love pure and unconditional is found in every moment.
